GHS classification results in English have been added.

NITE opened GHS information website and started providing English translated version of GHS classification results by the Japanese governments in 2008.

On March 1st, we have updated the GHS information website and added the following GHS classification results. The added classification results can be downloaded in excel format.

  • GHS classification results of about 1500 chemicals by Inter-Ministerial Committee (FY2006) (For 479 chemicals, Information on environmental hazards have been added.)
  • GHS classification results of 52 chemicals by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (FY 2007)
  • GHS classification results of about 93 chemicals by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Ministry of the Environment (FY 2008)

The classification results are provided aiming to help enterprises which are producing MSDSs and/or labels under the requirements of the GHS.

The classification results are not mandatory and have possibilities of revision.

The guidance documents used in each project are also available.
