 There is no information on this substance.
 For sodium molybdate which is a water soluble molybdenum compound, as for in vivo, positive was observed in a micronucleus assay in mouse bone marrow cells, however, the degree of micronucleus induction is small. Additionally, it is reported that in a dominant lethal assay using mice dosed with sodium molybdate, it is positive. However, the authors concluded that a definite conclusion could not be leaded because it was preliminary data from a pilot experiment (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol.10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012), ACGIH (7th, 2003), Titenko-Holland et al. (1998)).
 As for in vitro, it is reported that a bacterial reverse mutation test on soluble molybdenum salts (details unknown) is negative, and chromosome aberration tests, micronucleus tests and sister chromatid exchange assay using mammalian cultured cells on hexaammonium heptamolybdate or sodium molybdate are positive (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol.10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012).
 From the above, based on information on water soluble molybdenum compounds, this substance was classified in Category 2.
 Additionally, in the Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances (2012) and ACGIH (7th, 2003), it is reported that hexaammonium heptamolybdate is also positive in a micronucleus assay in mouse bone marrow cells and a dominant lethal assay in mice. However, it was confirmed that hexaammonium heptamolybdate was not subject to the study according to the original literature (Titenko-Holland et al. (1998)).

 There is no information on the carcinogenicity of this substance itself in humans or experimental animals.
 However, based on NTP test data using molybdenum trioxide (CAS RN 1313-27-5), ACGIH deemed that soluble molybdenum compounds is a confirmed animal carcinogen and classified soluble molybdenum compounds as A3 (ACGIH (7th, 2003)). Since this substance also corresponds to soluble molybdenum compounds, it was classified in Category 2 for this hazard class.

 There is no information on the reproductive effects of this substance itself.
 However, in a test using rats with sodium molybdate dihydrate, a soluble molybdenum compound, reproductive effects are observed. It is reported that a delay of estrous cycle was observed when female rats were dosed by drinking water for 6 weeks (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol.10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012)).
 In addition, a decrease in body weight gain was observed at 20 ppm or higher, and a decrease in conception rates was observed at 80 and 140 ppm when female and male rats were administered by feeding for 13 weeks prior to mating. In the administration group of 80 ppm or higher, only two of eight males provided offspring, and when infertile 6 males were mated with untreated females, no pregnant females were found. It is reported that the cause of infertility was attributed to the males, and degeneration of the seminiferous tubules was found in histopathologic examination of the testes (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol.10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012)). Because this substance is a soluble molybdenum compound and is thought to have adverse effects on sexual function and reproductive potential in animal experiments as sodium molybdate does, it was classified in Category 2 for this hazard class.

 It is described that this substance is soluble in water (Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol. 10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012)).
 There is no single exposure data in humans and experimental animals.
 Ammonium molybdate (CAS RN 12027-67-7) and sodium molybdate (CAS RN 7631-95-0), both of which are soluble molybdenum compounds, are reported to cause respiratory tract irritation (DFGOT vol. 18 (2002), ACGIH (7th, 2003), Environmental Risk Assessment for Chemical Substances Vol.10 (Ministry of the Environment, 2012)).
 They have been classified in Category 3 (respiratory tract irritation) in the FY 2015 GHS classification by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Ministry of the Environment.
 This substance is also thought to be possible to cause respiratory tract irritation similar to these soluble molybdenum compounds. Therefore, it was classified in Category 3 (respiratory tract irritation).

 Besides, as for experimental animals, for sodium molybdate, systemic toxicity (death for which the target organ could not be specified, extreme emaciation and weight loss) and effects in the testes were observed at doses corresponding to Category 1, and effects in the kidney at doses corresponding to Category 2 were observed. For ammonium molybdate, effects in the kidney were observed at doses corresponding to Category 2. All the doses for this substance, which were converted from the doses of sodium molybdate or ammonium molybdate with these findings observed, were above the range for Category 2.
 From the above, since there is no information available for the evidence of classification in target organ toxicity of this substance, it was classified as "Classification not possible."
