In an oral administration test with rats, all the animals died at the concentrations (500-1,000 mg/kg) within the range for Category 2. And at the concentration (250 mg/kg) within the range for Category 1, findings or abnormalities on necropsy were not observed in the surviving animals, but declined spontaneous movement, abnormal gait, bradypnea, and prone position were found in the dead animals, which showed hemorrhaging in the glandular stomach and forestomach, shrinking of the thymus, and pulmonary congestion on necropsy.
