PHYSICAL HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
1 Explosives Not applicable - - - - There are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecules.
2 Flammable gases (including chemically unstable gases) Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
3 Aerosols Not applicable - - - - Not aerosol products
4 Oxidizing gases Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
5 Gases under pressure Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
6 Flammable liquids Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
7 Flammable solids Not classified - - - - Non-combustible (ICSC (1997))
8 Self-reactive substances and mixtures Not applicable - - - - There are no chemical groups associated with explosive or self-reactive properties present in the molecule.
9 Pyrophoric liquids Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
10 Pyrophoric solids Not classified - - - - Non-combustible (ICSC, 1997)
11 Self-heating substances and mixtures Not classified - - - - Not combustible (ICSC (1997))
12 Substances and mixtures which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases Not classified - - - - Stable to water (the water solubility is obtained)
13 Oxidizing liquids Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
14 Oxidizing solids Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data, though containing oxygen.
15 Organic peroxides Not applicable - - - - Inorganic substance
16 Corrosive to metals Classification not possible - - - - Test methods applicable to solid substances are not available.

HEALTH HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
1 Acute toxicity (Oral) Classification not possible - - - - Data suitable for a classification is not found and insufficient, it cannot be classified.
1 Acute toxicity (Dermal) Classification not possible - - - - No data available
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) Not applicable - - - - Solid (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) Not applicable - - - - It was a solid hard crystalline material, and the vapor pressure at room temperature was considered to be very low. So it was thought to be outside of classification.
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) Classification not possible - - - - No data available
2 Skin corrosion/irritation Classification not possible - - - - No data available
3 Serious eye damage/eye irritation Classification not possible - - - - There is the statement which indicates eye irritations. But it cannot be classified, since the data which is supported is not found and the data is insufficient.
4 Respiratory sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
4 Skin sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
5 Germ cell mutagenicity Not classified - - - - Since the mouse marrow micronucleus examination for in vivo mutagenicity was negative (IARC68, 1997; CICAD24, 2000; DFGOT vol.14, 2000), we classified it as Out Of Category. In addition, in the special in vivo test system (measurement of the hprt variation in the lung epithelial cells of the rat which received the endotracheal administration), which is not in the OECD Guidelines, it shows mutation positives and so on (it is possible that it is based on the inflammatory effects), and the test results conflicts in the CICAD24 (2000). It is supposed that evaluation of genetic toxicity has not been fixed yet. Moreover, for in vitro mutagenicity, there was no data of Ames test and there were findings that it showed positive in the chromosome aberration test and it gave negative in micronucleus examination (IARC68, 1997; CICAD24, 2000; DFGOT vol.14, 2000).
6 Carcinogenicity Category 1A Danger H350: May cause cancer P308+P313: IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention.
P201: Obtain special instructions before use.
P202: Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood.
P281: Use personal protective equipment as required.
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
IARC68 (1997) is classified into 1, NTP RoC (11th, 2005) is classified into K and industrial hygene academic recommendation (2005) is classified into 1. It was considered as Category 1A.
7 Reproductive toxicity Classification not possible - - - - No data available
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Category 1 (respiratory system) Danger H370: Causes damage to organs (respiratory system) P307+P311: IF exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
P260: Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P270: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
P321: Specific treatment (see ... on this label).
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
IARC68 (1997), SITTIG (4th, 2002), and DHP (13th, 2002) have descriptions that its short-term exposure also affects the respiratory system in humans in case of high inhalation concentration although there is much little data compared with repeated exposure. Since IARC68 (1997) is the Priority 1 document, we classified it into Category 1 (respiratory system).
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Category 1 (respiratory system, kidney) Danger H372: Cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (respiratory system, kidney) P260: Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P270: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
P314: Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
In priority 1 document of CICAD24 (2000), IARC68 (1997), DFGOT vol.14 (2000) and ACGIH-TLV (2005), there is description that the respiratory system and the kidney are affected in humans, and it was classified into Category 1 (respiratory system, kidney).
10 Aspiration hazard Classification not possible - - - - No data available
