PHYSICAL HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
1 Explosives Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
2 Flammable gases (including chemically unstable gases) Not classified - - - - Non-combustible (ICSC(J), 1998; etc.) UNRTDG Class: 2.2
3 Aerosols Not applicable - - - - Not aerosol products
4 Oxidizing gases Not classified - - - - UNRTDG Class: 2.2
5 Gases under pressure Liquefied gas Warning H280: Contains gas under pressure; may explode if heated P410+P403: Protect from sunlight. Store in a well-ventilated place. Critical temp: >-50degC (Partially liquid at temperatures above -50degC)
6 Flammable liquids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
7 Flammable solids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
8 Self-reactive substances and mixtures Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
9 Pyrophoric liquids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
10 Pyrophoric solids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
11 Self-heating substances and mixtures Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
12 Substances and mixtures which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
13 Oxidizing liquids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
14 Oxidizing solids Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
15 Organic peroxides Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
16 Corrosive to metals Not classified - - - - It is classified into the UNRTDG class 2.2. There is information that it does not corrode metal. (dangerous decibel (the 2nd edition, 1993))

HEALTH HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
1 Acute toxicity (Oral) Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Dermal) Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Gases) Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Vapours) Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
1 Acute toxicity (Inhalation: Dusts and mists) Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)
2 Skin corrosion/irritation Classification not possible - - - - No data available
3 Serious eye damage/eye irritation Category 2A-2B Warning H319: Causes serious eye irritation P305+P351+P338: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
P337+P313: If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
P264: Wash ... thoroughly after handling.
P280: Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
It was set as Category 2A-2B from description that the eye is stimulated (ICSC (J), (1998), and SITTIG (4th, 2002)).
4 Respiratory sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
4 Skin sensitization Classification not possible - - - - No data available
5 Germ cell mutagenicity Classification not possible - - - - Classification not possible due to lack of data
6 Carcinogenicity Classification not possible - - - - No data available
7 Reproductive toxicity Classification not possible - - - - There is the description that there is no effect to both of parent animals and child animals in the inhalation exposure test during pregnancy using rat (DFGOT (vol.6, 1994)). But there is no test data in the exposure concentration that general toxicity is occur to parental animals. So it was considered the lack of data and we cannot classify them as out of Category.
8 Specific target organ toxicity - Single exposure Category 3 (Narcotic effects) Warning H336: May cause drowsiness or dizziness (narcotic effects) P304+P340: IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
P403+P233: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
P261: Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
P271: Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
P312: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.
P405: Store locked up.
P501: Dispose of contents/container to ...
Due to the descriptions that transient central nervous system depressions was observed in the inhalation exposure test to the humans in ACGIH (7th, 2001) and DFGOT (vol.6, 1994), and that the effect on the central nervous system was observed in the inhalation study using laboratory animals in high concentrations. So it judged that it has the anesthetic actions, therefore, it was classified into Category 3 (anesthetic actions).
9 Specific target organ toxicity - Repeated exposure Not classified - - - - In the repeated inhalation exposure test using the laboratory animals indicated in ACGIH (7th, 2001) and DFGOT (vol.6, 1994), toxicity was not observed even by the high concentrations exceeding the guidance value range of Category 2, it was set out of the Category.
10 Aspiration hazard Not applicable - - - - Gas (GHS definition)

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS
Hazard class Classification Symbol Signal word Hazard statement Precautionary statement Rationale for the classification
11 Hazardous to the aquatic environment (Acute) Not classified - - - - It carried out the outside of Category from 48-hour EC50=160mg/L of Crustacea (Daphnia magna) (IUCLID, 2000).
11 Hazardous to the aquatic environment (Long-term) Not classified - - - - Since not water-insoluble (aqueous solubility =320 mg/L (PHYSPROP Database, 2005)) and acute toxicity is low.
